Who am I?

I am currently working as Lecturer at the Faculty of Translation Studies of the University College Ghent. Prior to coming to Ghent, I was research assistant in the QLVL team at the University of Leuven, Belgium, where I obtained my PhD on 8 June 2005. I joined Ghent University in 2006 and University College Ghent in 2007.

At the moment I am working on a variety of syntax-oriented topics in corpus-based translation studies, such as the variable word order in Dutch verbal complexes and PP extraposition in Dutch and German (together with Marc Van de Velde). Other topics include contingency hedges in French and Dutch (with Bart Defrancq) and the geography of pronominal reference (with Gunther De Vogelaer). See my publication list for more details.
